Terms and Conditions
We are a small family business and cannot support any credit options. All items must be paid for in full on collection/day of completion.
There is no guarantee for glass once it has left our premises or once we have left yours, due to its very fragile and brittle nature. As such please check all items beforehand, as we will not accept any responsibility. Please ensure to check ALL glass before end of sale.
All our window, doors and conservatory installations come FENSA certified, with 10 years guarantee, backed by QANW national warranties. Windows sold on a supply only basis will only be covered for a period of 12 months for hardware and 5 years for breaking down of double glazed units.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT / INSTALLATION
This Agreement is made on the date the Customer signs this schedule of works (hereafter referred to as the Schedule) between A10 Glass Ltd (Hereafter referred to as “The Company” and the Customer as specified in the Schedule and shall be governed by the laws of England.
•1. Our representative is authorised accept cash, cheques, debit card , credit card ( at 2.5% charge ) or bank payment for deposit on this order. Our installers are similarly authorised to accept payment when the order is complete. All cheques are to be made payable to A10 Glass Ltd ONLY.
•2. Payment must be made on the day of completion of all work. Final payment can be cash, debit card, credit card ( 2.5% charge ) or bank payment.
•3. It is understood that there are no agreements between the Company’s representatives and the Customer other than those embodied in this Agreement.
•4. Although time is not the essence of this contract every effort will be made to commence work in a timely manner, as soon as the order is ready. In the unlikely event of unforeseen delays, The Company shall not be liable for damages in respect in a delay due to delivery, or installation. Any completion notice served by the Customer shall give notice of at least twenty- eight (28) days to the Company.
•5. Any alterations to pelmets, curtains, blinds, or other fittings found to be necessary due to works carried out by A10 Glass Ltd, shall be the responsibility of the Customer.
•6. The Agreement may be cancelled within seven (7) days from the date of signing this contract. Such notice must be sent by Registered or Recorded post to A10 Glass Ltd. 158 Percival Road, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 1QU. Structural changes to the building should not be made after signing this agreement, until your installation is complete. The Company reserves the right cancel this order at any time before commencement of installation, whereupon the Company will return any deposit but without interest. The Company will not return your deposit if notice for cancellation is after seven days, or if we are unable to complete your installation due to structural changes, as your order will have been made to your specifications, and is not resalable. The Company may also seek full payment in such cases.
•7. A10 Glass Ltd accepts no responsibility for broken glass after our installers have left the premises, due to its very fragile nature. Please ensure to check each pane before our technicians leave.
•8. The Company disclaims responsibility for any damages resulting from structural defects existing before work commences. Where every effort will be made to plaster and render loose walling post installation, and make good – this does NOT include painting or redecorating.
•9. The Customer shall grant access to A10 Glass Ltd employees and installers at all reasonable times, so we may honour this agreement and complete your installation in a timely manner.
•10. All the Terms and conditions between A10 Glass Ltd and the Customer are contained in this agreement. Verbal or other written agreements between the Customer and any of our representatives, is in no way binding.
•11. The type of individual panes of double glazing and their arrangement detailed shall in the absence of any special arrangement detailed in this schedule, will be determined by A10 Glass Ltd. Glass used by the Company in its double glazing units shall be of the required thickness and weight as required by the companies technical surveyors and British standards specification.
•12. The company excludes liability for optical effects attributed to natural lighting phenomena.
•13. The Company Guarantees sealed units against condensation between the glass for period of FIVE YEARS in accordance with our manufacturer guarantee, for parts and labour (where installed ).No Guarantee or warranty is given by the Company concerning the occurrence, prevention or elimination of condensation except between the two sealed panes of glass forming the unit. The Guarantee does NOT extend to damage of faults due to accidents, breakages, including accidental and malicious, misuse or neglect. All timber sub-frames should be treated with suitable preservative by the customer prior to installation of glass. The Company cannot be held responsible for normal shrinkage of timber.
•14. Only glass from suppliers of the highest reputation is used in our double glazed units, but no guarantee is ever given that glass is “perfect”.
•15. Double glazing windows, doors and conservatories, installed by A10 Glass Ltd carry a TEN (10) year manufacturer and installation warranty for any defects. A10 Glass Ltd Guarantees to repair or replace any such defects if written notice is served within 10 years. This excludes condensation within glass (post five years) damage due to misuse, accidental or malicious damage on UPVC frames. Hinges, locks and handles are guaranteed by the Company for FIVE (5) YEARS, unless again, there has been evident misuse.
•16. The guarantee contained in this agreement shall come into effect on the date installation is complete (hereafter referred to as the due date), and the Customer has signed a satisfaction notice, and payment has been made in full. All Guarantees are void if any monies are outstanding after the due date.
•17. Payment for completed work may ONLY be made by CASH, Bankers Draft or Bankers Payment, and shall be payable on the day of delivery/ completion. Should the Customer fail to pay on the due date then the Company may demand immediate payment of the total amount payable and other amount due under this agreement. If Payment is not made on the due date, A10 Glass, in accordance to its rights may also charge you for:
a) Interested calculated on a daily basis on the amount until paid in full.
b) The rate of interest will be charged at our current bank interest rate, and will not exceed the highest permitted by law
c) The cost to us for every reminder, or demand for payment and collection costs, including reasonable solicitors / lawyers fees and any court costs
d) Any bank charges or costs incurred by us, and any administrative costs
•18. Spares and Sundries carry there respective manufactures warranty, normally 12 months, unless otherwise started on product.
